SOMETHING ABOUT Alonzo
Know for his social and political commentary, a regular on NPR's "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me." Alonzo starred in his second Showtime comedy special titled "Historically Incorrect" in February 2016.
In 2011, he starred in his first special "Who's Paying Attention" also for Showtime, released a DVD, and currently hosts a podcast of the same name. That same year, he was a panelist on the syndicated show "Inside The Vault."
Gearhead, car and motorcycle lover and expert, Bodden hosted Speed Channel's "101 Cars You Must Drive" and "America's Worst Driver" on Travel Channel. He recently appeared on CNBC's "Leno's Garage" in the segment "Stump The Car Nerd" and is one of the hosts on Science Channel's new series "How To Build Everything."
Alonzo has also performed on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Late Night With Conan O'Brien," and was a guest panelist on Comedy Central's "The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore."
While his movie career has consisted mainly of playing security guards, he has protected the best, including Steve Martin and Queen Latifah in "Bringing Down The House" and Leslie Nielsen in "Scary Movie 4." He was also the voice of "Thunderon" in Power Rangers Lightspeed."
Alonzo has traveled around the world entertaining USO troops from Iraq to Greenland and everywhere in between.
